After leading Sotheby's musical instrument department for many years, Tim Ingles & Paul Hayday established a specialist musical instrument auction house and dealership under the name Ingles & Hayday to enable them to tailor their services to the specific requirements of their clients.

Tim and Paul still act as official consultants to Sotheby's with all relevant enquiries being referred directly to Ingles & Hayday.

Ingles & Hayday hold two musical instrument auctions every year at SothebyÂ’s in London, and we offer a tailor-made private sale service for clients looking to buy or sell fine instruments and bows. We also provide valuations for insurance, sale or probate, and certificates of authenticity for fine and rare instruments.
