Dragon Kwoon Martial Arts

Dragon Kwoon Martial Arts(DKMA) is a new name for a long standing club, teaching Kung Fu in Telford. Taught by Shi Fu Daniel Thomas, a Shaolin Kung Fu Practitioner for over 21 years, the club was set up over a decade ago and has seen many faces. The styles within DKMA are: Traditional Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, Chin Na(Locking art), Shuai Jiao(Chinese Wrestling), San Shou(Full Contact Kickboxing) and Chi Kung(Intrinsic Energy development).

Shi Fu Thomas is the head coach of DKMA and a level 6 practitioner in Shaolin Kung Fu, who holds a 3rd degree black belt in Chinese Wushu and a 2nd Duan Wei(Dan grade) in traditional Chinese Chi Kung. He has a sound knowledge of other martial arts, such as Chen Tai Chi ChÂ’uan, Yoshin Ryu Ju Jitsu and a practitioner of Gracie Ju Jitsu. He has been a former British gold medallist and national champion in San Shou / San Da, where he also has multiple gold medals in other lesser known tournaments as well. Shi Fu is also a former hand and weapons forms national champion and again, winning multiple gold medals in less known tournaments. In 2011 he was a UMA National gold medallist in Ju Jistsu and is focusing on his JuJitsu and Shaolin Kung Fu at the moment. Furthermore, his knowledge also extends in to fitness and well-being, where he is a qualified level 3 personal trainer and can provide complete knowledge of fitness, strength, speed, agility and nutritional advice for martial artists and general fitness practitioners alike. Shi Fu Thomas is CRB screened for child protection and a qualified judge for the BCCMA.

Areas we cover: We cover the Shropshire area, but primarily operate in the Telford area.
